Eagleville Hospital reaches new contract agreement with nurses, techs

A two-year deal was reached between Eagleville (Pa.) Hospital and its registered nurses and mental health technicians, reports Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 90 RNs and 80 mental health techs, represented by the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, have been in negotiations with Eagleville Hospital for 10 months.

The contract with the 30-bed behavioral health care hospital, includes an overall average wage increases of 4 percent in the first year of the contract and 2.5 percent in the second year of the contract, along with a new wage/salary scale that will give some nurses a 10 percent increase in the first year of the contract, according to the article. It also includes improved leave-of-absence provisions and the creation of a joint staffing committee that will focus on patient care issues including staffing, the report states.
