University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia plans to lay off or reduce the hours and pay of 35 employees, according to a St. Louis Business Journal report.
Additionally, the system is eliminating 90 vacant positions, according to the report. Reduced Medicare reimbursements and the state's decision to not expand Medicaid were cited as the reason for the cuts, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.
