Butte, Mont.-based St. James Healthcare and Teamsters Local No. 2 have reached a contract agreement, avoiding a looming strike, according to a report by The Montana Standard.
The contract includes a 2 percent pay increase across the board and a reinstatement of longevity steps, or incremental increases on a salary matrix, which had been a previously contested item. The contract is retroactive to July 1.
Members of the union took a strike vote in August.
The union represents 107 workers in various positions at the system.
