Roughly 3,500 registered nurses at Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health will receive big pay increases under tentative contract agreements with management, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.
Here are three things to know about the tentative pacts.
1. The new tentative agreements, concluded March 2, cover RNs who work at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center facilities in Berkeley, Calif., and Oakland, Calif., and California Pacific Medical Center hospitals in San Francisco.
2. Under the tentative pacts, all Alta Bates RNs will earn pay increases of 24 to 28 percent over four years, depending on years of service, according to the California Nurses Association, which represents the RNs in contract talks. CPMC RNs will all receive increases of 20 to 27 percent over four years.
3. RNs at CPMC campuses in San Francisco are slated to vote on the tentative pact March 9 and March 10, the union said, while RNs at Alta Bates Medical Center hospitals in Berkeley and Oakland will do the same March 10.
