The Regional Hospital of Scranton (Pa.) has laid off an unspecified number of employees, according to a report by The Scranton Times-Tribune.
"We are continually monitoring our patient census, our admissions [and] our patient volumes and matching that up with appropriate staffing levels," a spokesman told The Scranton Times-Tribune.
The Regional Hospital of Scranton is part of Commonwealth Health in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In June, another Commonwealth Health hospital, Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, furloughed 25 employees.
