Even though Plainsboro, N.J.-based Princeton HealthCare System has eliminated 45 full-time positions this year, the system hired 53 employees in July, according to a NJ Times report.
Sixteen of the 45 layoffs happened last month. The layoffs occurred because the system wishes to remain "financially responsible," a system spokesman told the NJ Times.
The addition of 53 employees was made possible by the introduction and expansion of programs and services in the system, according to the report.
Princeton HealthCare System employs 3,134 people after the staffing changes, the NJ Times reported.
