Mountain States Health Alliance in Johnson City, Tenn., is cutting 200 jobs through attrition, according to a Johnson City Press report.
System officials pointed to shrinking revenues, tied to the federal sequester and lack of state officials' agreement over Medicaid expansion, as the reason for the workforce reduction.
The lost positions will come from all 13 of MSHA's affiliated hospitals, according to the report.
