Nurses at five Minneapolis-St. Paul hospital systems, represented by the Minnesota Nurses Association, have ratified a three-year contract agreement that includes across-the-board wage increases, according to a Star Tribune report.
Here are three things to know about the contract.
1. The contract affects 7,000 nurses at the following organizations:
- Children's St. Paul
- Children's Minneapolis
- St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul
- St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, Minn.
- Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul
- Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn.
- Fairview Clinics-Riverside in Minneapolis
- Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn.
- North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn.
2. The contract comes days after the MNA and hospital systems reached a tentative agreement with a 2 percent raise in each year of the contract.
3. The new contract takes effect June 1.
