Washington, D.C.-based Howard University will furlough 1,700 employees at Howard University Hospital for eight unpaid days over the next year, according to a Washington Post report.
The furloughs are expected to save about $6 million, according to the report. Howard University Hospital and Howard University are both facing financial challenges.
