Page West, RN, is making a special effort to meet nurses this week.
Ms. West, senior vice president and chief nursing executive officer of San Francisco-based Dignity Health, plans to visit all 39 Dignity Health hospitals in eight days to meet as many nurses as she can.
The visits are part of Dignity Health's celebration of National Nurses Week, which runs May 6-12, and National Hospital Week, which runs May 8-14.
Ms. West visited St. Bernardino (Calif.) Medical Tuesday, according to a San Bernardino County Sun report. She told the San Bernardino County Sun her visit is to show "an appreciation from a nurse to a nurse."
Ms. West has also visited nearby Community Hospital of San Bernardino.
