The new Surprise, Ariz.-based Cobalt Rehabilitation Hospital, which has been under construction and expects patients in January, will bring about 140 jobs to the area, according to a Sun City Independent report.
The jobs are wide ranging and include neurologists as well as registered nurses.
Here are three other things to know about the hospital.
1. The 40-bed hospital has a total cost of $17.5 million.
2. The hospital features private patient rooms, some with living rooms, along with inpatient and outpatient services, according to the report. It will also be Arizona's first hospital to provide a new robotic body-weight support system to allow paralyzed patients to walk, the report notes.
3. Phoenix-based Abrazo Community Health Network and Cobalt Rehabilitation, a Dallas-based private healthcare operator, are partners in the venture.
