7 healthcare organizations adding jobs

The following healthcare organizations shared plans to add jobs since May 22, starting with the most recent.

1. Georgia county seeks approval for new hospital
Officials in Lee County, Ga., asked the Georgia Department of Community Health to build a 60-bed hospital. Officials expect the hospital would create more than 350 jobs.

2. UPMC to open business operations center in Erie
Pittsburgh-based UPMC and UPMC Health Plan shared plans to open a business operations center for hospital support services in Erie, Pa. Hospital officials expect the business operations center to create nearly 200 full-time jobs.

3. MetroHealth closes sale of nearly $1B in bonds for campus revamp
Cleveland-based MetroHealth System closed the sale of $945.7 million in bonds to finance its campus transformation. The transformation project, which runs through 2023, will ultimately support 5,600 new and existing jobs.

4. Inspira breaks ground on $349M replacement hospital in South Jersey
Woodbury, N.J.-based Inspira Health Network began construction on a new $349 million hospital. Hospital officials expect the facility to create 1,400 jobs.

5. Erlanger to break ground on new children's hospital June 6
Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System is building a new Children's Hospital at Erlanger Outpatient Center in Chattanooga. The children's hospital is expected to provide more than 250 jobs.

6. Construction commences on Lutheran outpatient facility
Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network is building an outpatient center. Hospital officials expect the facility to create 36 jobs.

7. MidMichigan Health to build $57M cardiovascular center in Midland
MidMichigan Health shared plans to build a $57 million, 160,000-square-foot cardiovascular center in Midland, Mich. The facility is expected to create 25 jobs.
