Wyoming Hospitals May Create Regional Alliance to Integrate Care

The Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyo., and the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., have announced they are strongly considering creating a partnership.

The partnership would be a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system seeking to protect Wyoming healthcare jobs and create a stronger network of care for state residents. It also aims to protect the two medical centers from the threat of out-of-state health systems looking to acquire Wyoming-based ones.

Even before forming the partnership, the medical centers have launched a website for it — WyomingSolution.com — to introduce the public to the plan.

"Healthcare is changing and we have a responsibility to thrive despite these changes," reads a statement on the website. "We need a long-term solution for our healthcare system that meets the unique needs of our state."
