Morgantown-based West Virginia University Heart and Vascular Institute and Oakland, Md.-based Garrett Regional Medical Center have joined forces to open a cardiovascular clinic, according to the Preston County News & Journal.
Physicians began seeing patients at the clinic in Oakland, Md., earlier this month, according to the article. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
"It is our honor and privilege to partner with the outstanding physicians of Garrett Regional Medical Center to help develop cardiovascular services for the region," said Vinay Badhwar, MD, executive chair of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute. "Through [t]his collaboration, we aim to provide the [Oakland] region of Western Maryland with unprecedented access to advanced heart and vascular therapies."
