Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System has acquired Takoma Regional Hospital, a 100-bed hospital in Greeneville, Tenn.
Wellmont acquired Takoma Regional and its associated medical group from Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.

"The hospital and this medical group have produced outstanding results for patients, and the synergy that will result by bringing them into our organization will benefit those we are privileged to serve."
With the addition of Takoma Regional, Wellmont Health System includes seven hospitals.
