Valley Medical Center in Renton, Wash., and UW Medicine in Seattle have signed a non-binding letter of intent to explore a strategic alliance, according to a UW Medicine news release.
Valley Medical Center, which is operated by a public hospital district, could join UW Medicine, which includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine and Airlift Northwest.
With the signing of the agreement, the organizations will begin in-depth due diligence and preparation of a strategic alliance agreements.
