Yakima (Wash.) Valley Memorial Hospital and Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center have signed a letter of intent to affiliate.
Through the affiliation, 226-bed YakimaValley would become a part of Virginia Mason Health System. The organizations are pursuing the affiliation to increase access to healthcare care, improve patient satisfaction, advance physician recruitment and expand their financial, clinical and information systems.
YakimaValley and Virginia Mason will now being the due diligence process to determine the specific details of the affiliation.
