Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, Conn., officially joined Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health's New England region on Jan. 1.
The move makes Johnson Memorial part of a regional nonprofit health system that also includes Mercy Medical Center in Springfield Conn., Sisters of Providence Health System in Springfield, Conn., and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn.
Trinity Health is also in the process of absorbing Saint Mary's Health System in Waterbury, Conn. That deal is awaiting regulatory approval.
