Cincinnati-based TriHealth signed a deal Thursday to acquire Oxford, Ohio-based McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital after two years of discussion.
TriHealth will invest $17 million in the hospital as part of the agreement, which will help fund a new emergency department, new IT infrastructure and improved clinical services.
The nonprofit, 60-bed hospital will retain 40 percent ownership and TriHealth will assume 60 percent, which will be reflected in composition of seats on the board.
