The Texas A&M School of Public Health in College Station will collaborate with the Houston Methodist Research Institute and the Center for Outcomes Research to improve health outcomes of patients in acute care settings, according to the Vital Record.
Clinicians and faculty from both organizations will pursue externally and internally-funded research opportunities.
Bita Kash, PhD, associate professor at the Texas A&M School of Public Health, will lead the program.
"Our goal is to conduct research in the fields of health services, health economics and health operations that will provide national leadership and fundamental improvements in patient outcomes in the U.S. and throughout the world," Dr. Kash said.
