Tenet, Baylor Scott & White to partner for value-based care at 5 hospitals

Baylor Scott & White Health and Tenet Healthcare, both based in Dallas, announced Monday plans to partner at five Texas hospitals, to focus on integrated, value-based care delivery.

The health systems will jointly own the following five organizations, with Baylor Scott & White holding a majority ownership.

  • Centennial Medical Center (Frisco, Texas).
  • Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake (Dallas).
  • Lake Pointe Medical Center (Rowlett, Texas).
  • Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale.
  • Baylor Medical Center at Garland (Texas).

All five hospitals will be part of the Baylor Scott & White brand and will adopt Baylor Scott & White's policies related to charity care and community benefit. Each hospital will continue to be operated by its parent health system, leadership teams will remain in place and there will be few, if any, staff changes, according to a statement.

Tenet's accountable care organization and Baylor Scott & White's ACO also affiliated in February, increasing access to care at four hospitals, six outpatient centers and more than 170 physicians.
