The commissioners of Jefferson Healthcare Hospital in Port Townsend, Wash., have unanimously approved an affiliation with Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, according to a Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader report.
The deal will go into effect Dec. 1. A full copy of the agreement was not available at the time the report was published, but JHH CEO Mike Glenn has previously noted the affiliation would cost the hospital $75,000 per year. It can opt out of the affiliation after two years without cause.
