Boston-based Steward Health Care; Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA; and Cleveland Clinic are three of 12 suitors who expressed preliminary interest in partnering with Vero Beach, Fla.-based Indian River Medical Center, according to the TCPalm.
IRMC officials said 12 health systems have expressed initial interest ahead of the hospital's deadline to accept proposals, which ends Nov. 10. Officials said they expect to select six finalists by Nov. 17, choose their preferred partner by early February and close the deal by August of next year, the report states.
Some of the interested parties signed confidentiality agreements earlier this month to allow officials to review IRMC's proprietary financial information, according to the report. The health systems will use the information to decide if they want to submit an official proposal before the Nov. 10 deadline.
