Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., and New Rochelle, N.Y.-based Sound Shore Health System have made the first steps in forming a corporate merger by signing a memorandum of understanding, allowing them to pursue exclusive talks, according to a Daily Voice report.
The merger will include three hospitals: Westchester Medical Center, Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle and Mount Vernon (N.Y.) Hospital, which Sound Shore Health manages.
