Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare and Phoenix-based John C. Lincoln Health Network announced they have signed a letter of intent to merge and become Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network, expected to be completed by July 31.
The merged non-profit, five-hospital entity would include about 10,500 employees, 3,700 affiliated physicians and an accountable care organization. The merger is intended to improve coordination of care and expand the systems' network primary and specialty physicians.
Financial details were not disclosed.
