Salina (Kan.) Regional Health Center and Cloud County Health Center in Concordia, Kan., will enter into an operational and clinical affiliation beginning May 1.
Salina Regional CEO Mike Terry said the affiliation will allow for greater cost efficiencies in areas such as purchasing supplies and equipment, as well as sharing a single medical records system.
"The end goal in this agreement is to improve patient care in the region by better coordinating services between the two hospitals," said Mr. Terry. "It also helps both organizations meet the challenges of modern healthcare, which include increased federal regulations and lower reimbursements to healthcare providers and facilities."
