Tulsa, Okla.-based Saint Francis Health System signed a definitive agreement to purchase Muskogee, Okla.-based Eastar Health.
As part of the agreement, Saint Francis will acquire Eastar's east campus. The health system's physician clinics will also be incorporated into the Tulsa-based Warren Clinic, the employed physician arm of Saint Francis.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. The financial terms were not disclosed.
"As the area's only locally owned and operated health system, Saint Francis is deeply committed to the current and future health needs of Oklahoma. This pending acquisition is consistent with Saint Francis' five-year strategic plan…which identifies an increased focus on regionalization as one of the system's key organizing principles," said Jake Henry, president and CEO of Saint Francis.
