Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services has completed its acquisition of 177-bed North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, Nev.
Last year, Franklin, Tenn.-based IASIS Healthcare signed a definitive agreement to sell North Vista to Prime.
In a prepared statement, Prime said it "looks forward to partnering with the physicians, nurses and employees at North Vista Hospital as well as becoming involved in the community."
Vince Variale, who has been named North Vista's CEO, added, "Under Prime Healthcare's leadership, we will ensure North Vista continues its role as a critical safety-net hospital in the Greater North Las Vegas area. Prime hospitals are consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation, and North Vista…will continue those high clinical standards."
North Vista, which has served North Las Vegas and the greater Las Vegas Valley since the late 1950s, has a 20-bed emergency department, a comprehensive heart care program and a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Prime has 30 acute care hospitals.
