PinnacleHealth System, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based network with two main acute-care hospitals and a third in the works, has entered into exclusive partnership negotiations with J.C. Blair Health System, based in Huntingdon, Pa.
Executives at both systems said they are looking at clinical affiliations and a corporate alignment strategy that will offer expanded healthcare services in the Huntingdon area. Neither system indicated a timeline for further negotiations, nor were financial details disclosed.
PinnacleHealth's two acute-care hospitals are Harrisburg (Pa.) Hospital and Community General Osteopathic Hospital, also in Harrisburg. J.C. Blair Health System is comprised of 104-bed J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, a physician group and other services.
