The University of Pennsylvania Health System has formed an alliance with two of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health's assets in Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia-based health system announced April 5.
Under the deal, Penn Medicine will align with Conshohocken-based Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Langhorne-based St. Mary Medical Center.
The goal of the alliance is to create and develop joint clinical care programs and population health initiatives to improve care for patients across the Greater Philadelphia region.
MHSSP and St. Mary Medical Center will remain members of Trinity Health.
