PeaceHealth, Ocean Beach Hospital to Consider Expanded Partnership

PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Wash., and Ilwaco, Wash.-based Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics will begin discussions about expanding their partnership, according to a report from The Daily News.

The more extensive affiliation would help Ocean Beach, which has been struggling financially, stay afloat and face the challenges of healthcare reform, according to the report. PeaceHealth already provides management and support services to the hospital but has no financial stake in Ocean Beach's operations.

PeaceHealth spokesman Tim Strickland told the News the negotiations and due diligence process concerning the expanded affiliation is expected to take several months. The two organizations will have a clearer idea of how they will expand their collaboration once that process is complete.
