Orlando (Fla.) Health entered into a definitive agreement with Brentwood, Tenn.-based CareSpot Urgent Care to partner on various urgent care sites across Florida.
Under the agreement, CareSpot's eight existing centers in Orlando — and all future sites — will be branded CareSpot Urgent Care | Orlando Health.
Officials said the two entities formed a joint venture company to operate the eight existing CareSpot locations, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, which officials expect to receive later this summer.
"We are pleased that our health system will join a leading urgent care provider like CareSpot," said David Strong, president and CEO of Orlando Health. "This agreement will position both parties to offer our community many access points for a high-quality, full continuum of care serving all levels of acuity for a wide range of conditions."
