Orlando (Fla.) Health has acquired Health Central in Ocoee, Fla., for $181.3 million after over a year of negotiations, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.
The acquisition creates a wholly owned subsidiary named Orlando Health Central, although the hospital will continue to operate as Health Central. A 13-member board of directors including representatives from Orlando Health, the taxing district and community leaders, will govern the new entity.
