Adventist Health System in Winter Park, Fla., Orlando (Fla.) Health and Health Central in Ocoee, Fla., have reported a combined $388.5 million profit in 2010, reflecting an increase from combined 2009 profits of $310.2 million, according to an Orlando Business Journal news report.
The jump from 2009 to 2010 profits indicates a 25 percent increase across the three health systems. Adventist Health alone increased its profits by 30 percent from 2009 to 2010. In 2009, the health system reported profits of $226.2 million in the first nine months of 2009. In the same time frame this year, Adventist reached $294.8 million in profits, according to the report.
