Oktibbeha County Hospital in Mississippi Begins Sale Process

The Oktibbeha County board of supervisors has passed a motion to seek a consulting company to assess Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Miss., which is the first step required in the sale of a county-owned hospital, according to The Dispatch.

The prospect of selling Oktibbeha County Hospital has received heavy opposition from county residents. According to the report, residents voiced frustration and concern at a board meeting held earlier this week. However, the County representatives held their ground, citing "exciting possibilities" for the hospital, which were not discussed in detail.
