Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital and Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System have struck an agreement under which the hospital will become a member of the Montefiore system.
The hospital and health system boards have approved a letter of intent outlining plans to enhance care and offer new population health management services at the hospital, according to a news release. Financial details were not disclosed.
"We see great opportunity in working with Nyack Hospital and enhancing its rich history of providing excellent care in the community," said Steven M. Safyer, MD, president and CEO of Montefiore, in the release. "Montefiore is focused on building a regional healthcare delivery system that is closely aligned with community physicians and groups."
The agreement is expected to be formalized in the coming weeks and is subject to regulatory approval.
