Northern Westchester Hospital in New York Seeks Partnership

Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., is looking for a new partner, according to a Bedford-Katonah Patch report.

During a presentation to town board officials in Bedford, N.Y., Northern Westchester Hospital CEO Joel Seligman said the hospital will ideally have a new partner in the coming year, according to the report. Due to a non-disclosure agreement, Mr. Seligman could not name prospective partners at the time of the presentation.

The hospital will be free to seek a new partner after the first week of January, when it will end its current arrangement with Stellaris Health Network, according to the report. In July, Northern Westchester, Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, White Plains Hospital in White Plains and Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville all filed requests with the state to "disestablish" Stellaris as "active parent and co-operator." Stellaris will continue to provide IT support and some other services to the facilities.

Mr. Seligman told Bedford officials entering into a new partnership would lead to better capital access and purchasing cost for the hospital, among other advantages.
