North Hawaii Community Hospital in Kamuela, Hawaii, has entered into an agreement to consider affiliating with The Queen's Health Systems, the corporate parent of The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, according to the Waimea (Hawaii) Community Association.
Queen's will explore the possibility of a formal affiliation with NHCH. The specific nature of the potential partnership will be determined after Queen's conducts in-depth due diligence concerning physical and regulatory requirements, according to a WCA news release.
NHCH is a rural, nonprofit acute-care facility with 33 licensed beds. The Queen's Health Systems is a nonprofit corporation and Hawaii's oldest family of healthcare companies.
