San Antonio-based Nix Health is expected to be acquired by Los Angeles-based Prospect Medical Holdings by the end of this quarter, according to an Express News report.
Prospect has entered into an agreement to buy Nix from a subsidiary of Merit Health Systems, based in Louisville, Ky. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the report.
Nix operates Nix Medical Center in downtown San Antonio along with home care services, a specialty health center and numerous health clinics, physician offices and specialty centers throughout San Antonio. Prospect currently owns and operates five hospitals in California.
