Philadelphia, Miss.-based Neshoba General Hospital officials said the hospital plans to end its loose affiliation with Meridian, Miss.-based Anderson Regional Medical Center, according to WTOK-ABC 11 News.
According to Lee McCall, CEO of Neshoba General Hospital, the two organizations formed the affiliation to improve care and expand the services available to the community. However, communication between the facilities has been infrequent in recent years, according to the article.
Officials said the two facilities will continue to work together on a referral basis.
The affiliation will officially terminate on March 28, 2017.
