An unnamed potential buyer has approached Natchez (Miss.) Regional Medical Center, according to a report by the Natchez Democrat.
Adams County, which owns the hospital, failed to secure a buyer in its last attempt to sell in 2008 and was forced into bankruptcy the following year. County officials expressed a preference to sell to for-profit companies in order to grow the rural county's tax base, according to the report.
