Ocala, Fla.-based Munroe Regional Medical Center is considering two 40-year lease agreements with Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint, both for-profit hospital chains.
Duke LifePoint, a joint venture between LifePoint Hospitals and Duke University Health System, offered $138.7 million to lease the 421-bed Munroe, with a $200 million commitment in facility upgrades.
