New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System and Ridgewood, N.J.-based Valley Health System are partnering on an initiative to enhance cancer care for patients in northern New Jersey, according to the Bergenfield Daily Voice.
Through the partnership, Valley Health System patients will be able to participate in clinical trials spearheaded by Mount Sinai physicians.
The financial terms of the agreement have yet to be disclosed.
"The clinical and academic affiliation between the Valley Health System and the Mount Sinai Health System will lead to better coordinated, higher quality healthcare in many arenas across our tristate Metropolitan region," said Arthur Klein, MD, president of the Mount Sinai Health System.
