Bismarck, N.D.-based Mid Dakota Clinic officials may move forward on the potential merger with Sioux Falls, N.D-based Sanford Health, according to the Bismarck Tribune.
Mid Dakota CEO Marvin Lein said Mid Dakota officials will continue to spend the rest of the year working with Sanford to create a smooth merger transition. He said the goal is to complete the merger by Dec. 31, according to an internal email statement.
Mid Dakota officials declined to confirm the contents of the email, reiterating the fact that the discussions are confidential, according to the article.
In September, Sanford President and CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft, COO Nate White and Executive Vice President Craig Lambrecht wrote in an internal letter, "Our discussions have been very positive and, as a result, are moving to the next step."
