A member of Oklahoma City-based Mercy Health System's board of directors, Eric Jackson, has resigned over the proposed sale of St. Joseph's Mercy Health System in Hot Springs, Ark., to for-profit Capella Healthcare in Franklin, Tenn., according to an Arkansas Business report.
St. Joseph's Mercy is a non-profit, faith-based hospital. Mr. Jackson told Arkansas Business he would prefer a faith-based, non-profit hospital to be the new owner of St. Joseph Mercy.
