Today, registered voters of Colorado Springs, Colo., will decide whether to lease the city-owned Memorial Hospital — part of Memorial Health System in Colorado Springs — to University of Colorado Health, according to a Gazette report.
The deal was approved by Colorado Attorney General John Suthers but needs the approval of voters. Ballots are due by 7 p.m.
University of Colorado Health is a newly created organization that includes Loveland, Colo.-based Medical Center of the Rockies, Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.; and University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora.
