Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, the University of Oxford (U.K.) and the Oxford (U.K.) University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust signed a transatlantic agreement Oct. 3 to advance medical research and patient care.
The organizations will combine their resources and share a workspace in London to improve patient care and educate healthcare providers about various scientific and technological advancements.
Mayo Clinic and Oxford previously worked together to form an independent business subsidiary to operate a clinic scheduled to open in London in 2019. The clinic will provide screening and diagnostics outside the National Health Service, the U.K.'s public health system.
