By early December, Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass., is expected to select one of three potential partners to move forward with a merger or sale, according to a Daily Hampshire Gazette report.
The finalists are Baystate Health Systems of Springfield, Mass., Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and Vanguard Health Systems of Nashville, Tenn. Cooley Dickinson CEO Craig Melin said discussions with each group are becoming increasingly more candid as "real questions" are put on the table, according to the report.
It's expected that Cooley Dickinson's board will review a proposal for a merger or sale in late November or early December.
