Lake Charles (La.) Memorial Hospital, along with its partner West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, La., has entered into a partnership with W.O. Moss Regional Medical Center in Lake Charles, according to an American Press report.
Under the terms of the partnership, Memorial Hospital will lease property from Moss Regional, and West Cal-Cam Hospital will sublease components of Moss Regional from Memorial. According to the report, Memorial will also assume responsibility for the facility and operations at Moss Regional, while Moss Regional will continue to serve as a charity hospital for those patients who are uninsured or on Medicaid.
The transition is expected to begin in the coming months and be completed by July, according to the report.
