Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health signed a five-year contract with the Boston Bruins hockey team. The partnership will make Lahey the official healthcare partner of the team, according to The Boston Globe.
Lahey Health officials said its orthopedic specialists will attend Bruins training camps and certain home games to provide care to the players. The two organizations will also collaborate on community and charity events.
The deal replaces the hockey team's former partnership with Medford, Mass.-based Hallmark Health System.
The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
"This partnership with Lahey Health is a natural fit on a number of levels, as we share many of the same values and ideas regarding preventative and reactive medicine, as well as the responsibility we each have to serve our community," said Bruins President Cam Neely in a statement.
